What is Vipassana Meditation?
Vipassana is one of India's most ancient meditation techniques. Vipassana means seeing things as they really are. It is the pro less of self-purification by self-observation. One begins by observing the natural breath to concentrate the mind. With a sharpened awareness one proceeds to observe the changing nature of body and mind, and experience the universal truth of impermanence, suffering, and loss of ego.
Vipassana changes the habit patterns of our mind. Increases self-awareness, decreases cravings, eliminates psychosomatic diseases.

It is recommended that new students of Vipassana Meditation do a ten day course at an approved Vipassana Center. We will introduce the technique and help you begin the process of meditation. We will prepare you mentally and physically but it will not replace the benefits of 10 day silent meditation retreat.
